Overview of Grade 4, Engagement 2
Predetermined teams select a category and level of difficulty. Taking turns, each team is prompted with an answer to a question. They race the clock to write their response in the form of a question. Allow students to use the Student Reader for an open-book experience.
What You Need

Advance Preparation
- Prepare three small pieces of white paper each with one of the following words: red, purple, green.
- Fold the papers so the text is not visible.
- Divide the class into three teams.
- Have each team draw a paper to determine their team color.

How to Facilitate

- Go over the rules with students before beginning.
- During their turn, a team selects a category and level of difficulty. Higher points indicate greater difficulty.
- Choosing the tile for a team’s selected category and level of difficulty reveals the answer to a question and start the countdown timer.
- The team must write their response, in the form of a question, on display paper and reveal their response at the end of the timer.
- Use the Check button to stop the timer and reveal the correct response.
- If the team’s response was correct, click to add points to their score counter.
- Carry on with the next team, beginning with their selected category and level of difficulty.
